I'm an aspiring journalist who wants to drive change, not just report on it. I've revealed sexual hazing on the Northwestern football team, Chicago taxi drivers refusing to pick up passengers with disabilities and long-forgotten funds meant to clean up lead paint in Oakland. My reporting has been the basis of notable firings, lawsuits and state legislation. And, in 2024, I became the first student to win Illinois Journalist of the Year from the Northern Illinois Press Association.

I also moonlight as a butcher, something I've done since 2022. And before you ask: no, there isn't a best cut of steak...only the right context!
